I am starting this blog on this wonderfully lazy Sunday afternoon with hopes of sharing our lives with family and friends, to have a place to share things I like, but most of all to have a place to record the fantastic things my children do that fill my life with joy. I want this to be something that we can all look back on someday when they are grown and see the memories that we have made together as a family.
Who we are and what we are doing right now:
Dustin (Daddy) is in Aviation Sheet Metal school at Francis Tuttle. He will graduate in April and hopefully will be getting a job at Tinker Air Force Base soon after. He went from working over 50 hours a week to now being home at 430 everyday. It is so nice to have him around more! He is loving school and looking forward to the amazing career that he will have soon. A few things he likes are football, basketball, chicken fried chicken, and (loves) Monsters.
I (Mama) am a student at the University of Central Oklahoma majoring in English Education. I will be student teaching in the Fall and graduating in December. School has been a long hard road but that light at the end of the tunnel is getting so bright! I actually love my classes and all my professors this semester. I can't wait to be a teacher; it is what I have wanted to do since I was little. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to go to school and stay home with my babies and am looking forward to having a job that will allow me to have the same schedule that they do!
Nate (Buddy, Brother) is in Pre-K at Dale Elementary. He is playing basketball at the YMCA and has already decided that he likes watching the OKC Thunder play much more than he likes playing himself. I'm thinking he might be a baseball kind of guy. Basketball is a little to confrontational for him. A few of his favorite things right now are Cars, Legos, StarWars, coloring, and Angry Birds. He will turn 5 in just a couple of weeks and we are celebrating with an Angry Birds themed party at the bowling alley!
Audrey (Cupcake, Princess Pearl, Sister) is ten weeks old today. I took her to the doctor for her 2 month check up this past week and she weighed in at a whopping 11 pounds 12 ounces! She is my big chunk of sweetness! She is so alert now and smiles more and more every day. She coos and babbles and grabs on to things. She loves watching her mobile, cuddling and watching football with her daddy.
